£110,000 for client knocked down by a taxi in London
In August 2023, our client, BM, was seriously injured whilst visiting friends in London.
BM was lawfully crossing the road at a pedestrian traffic light in Piccadilly Circus, when she was struck side on by a taxi that failed to stop at a red light. She sustained multiple serious injuries, including fractures to her leg and wrist resulting in her being hospitalised for 3 weeks before being discharged home.
Although BM was initially reluctant to pursue legal action in England, she approached our firm for assistance. We promptly took instructions and issued a Letter of Claim to the third-party insurer.
Despite ongoing jurisdictional challenges we successfully secured a six-figure settlement for BM without having to issue proceedings. Our client was extremely thankful.
